The oh so important first post!

Now before you start going on about blatant plagiarism with the blog name, I'd just like to point out how bloody hard it is to think up a descent, potentially humorous, name for a weight-loss blog. I went through 'Secret Diary of Someone Quite Ordinary Trying to Lose Weight' (in which I might gush about how awesome it is to eat many different foods and get paid for it), 'Weight Loss and the Small Seaside Town' (in which I might monologue at length about my relationships with different foods ad nauseum), 'Big Bowl Theory' (in which I may gather some fellow geeks to me and eat different foods from large bowls while role-playing in a dystopian future)... I think that joke is played out now, let's move on shall we?




So, I've started this blog for a few reasons. The main one is that I'd like to document my ongoing weight-loss in the hope that it will a) give me inspiration to keep at it and b) that it may well help others with their battle with rotundity. So I'll be chronicling my way through this until I reach my goal weight of 15 stone (which is 95.25 kilos or 210 pounds if you're interested), after that who knows? I may keep going with the weight thing or turn my oh-so-limited attention span elsewhere.

So, this was my first post. I'm aware that I spent the majority of making rubbish puns, but if you follow me here then you'll have to get used to that =o) Feel free to leave a comment or suggestion, I'm always open to criticism.

    Second of all, LOVING the blog already, and good luck for your continuing weight-loss. If it helps, I have been noticing at our weekly nerding sessions that you are becoming visibly slimmer, so whatever regime you are working on is definitely working!

    Keep it up dude, you have the eternal support of your friends. ;)
